Advocacy
The role of the AHCC Advocacy Board is to advocate for the types of training needed in order to elevate the professional standards of home health professionals.
AHCC’s Advocacy Board will focus on the following goals during their first term:
- Identify training opportunities for home health staff by conducting an industry-needs assessment and disseminating results to AHCC membership and home care industry.
- Communicating to the industry the value and a benefits of a certified vs. non-certified home care professional
- Developing job descriptions for home health professionals for the industry to model
- Querying CMS for guidance on commonly misconstrued OASIS-C and home care related issues
- Building a career path for the home health professional and guidance
Your AHCC Advocacy Board will be presented in early 2012! We're excited for you to meet those people who are going to be advocating to the industry you serve on your behalf!
