BMSC Exam Registration Fees

At a Computer-based Testing Center:

  • Home Care Coding Specialist - Diagnosis exam (HCS-D): $329.00 U.S./$429 International
  • Home Care Clinical Specialist - OASIS exam (HCS-O): $329.00 U.S./$429 International
  • Home Care Coding Specialist - Hospice exam (HCS-H): $329.00 U.S./$429 International

By Remote Proctor:

  • Home Care Coding Specialist - Diagnosis exam (HCS-D): $329.00 
  • Home Care Clinical Specialist - OASIS exam (HCS-O): $329.00 
  • Home Care Coding Specialist - Hospice exam (HCS-H): $329.00 

(Once you register for your exam, you will receive a one-year, complimentary membership in the Association of Home Care Coding & Compliance.)

Recertification Fees

Recertification of HCS-D, HCS-O, or HCS-H or HCS-C credential: $229.00

Note that a 15% late fee will be added if a credential holder attempts to recertify within 90 days after the credential has expired. If the certificant does not recertify during the 90 day inactive period, the credential will be revoked. AHCC membership is complimentary when you recertify any of your credentials. If you do not hold a credential, the AHCC membership fee is $99.

 

BMSC Exam Refund Policy

The fee for the certification application process and examination is $329.00 U.S. or via remote proctor/$429 International. All fees are non-refundable.

BMSC Exam Cancellation Policy and Fees

Candidates registered for BMSC exams have 90 days from the day they register to take an initial or retake exam. 

If you cancel or reschedule an exam scheduled with Prometric 7-29 days before your scheduled test date, Prometric will charge a $35 fee. 

If you:

  • Cancel or reschedule an exam less than 7 days before the test date;
  • Fail to appear for a scheduled test; or
  • Arrive more than 30 minutes after the scheduled start time and are refused admission

You will be charged the full fee for your exam ($329 in the U.S. or by remote proctor; $429 International at Computer-Based Testing Centers for first exam attempt; $99 for retakes in the U.S. or by remote proctor, $199 at International Computer-Based Testing Centers).
